How To Create Linux Recovery USB Device Using Macbook Computer
Posted by: admin In: macbook
The one user of Acer Aspire One wants to reinstall Linux system from
his Aspire One laptop. Since he’s only has one Apple Mac C2D MacBook,
he want to create recovery USB device with a Mac Computer.
If you have the similar problem and you want to create recovery USB
device with a Mac Computer. Some require software like Parallel or
VMware for booting the DVD on the virtual machine and you can simply
follow the on screen instruction. However Intel Macs are just fancy
PC’s with slightly special BIOS, so you don’t need vmware or
parallels.
Here another simple ways:
- Put the CD in the drive
- Put USB key in the one of USB port and restart the MacBook,
- Hold down ‘C’ to boot from CD Rom. Here the recovery DVD will boot
normally and you’ll be able to create the USB key as you would
normally do on a PC.
In case the recovery DVD did not detect the internal TrackPad on your
MacBook, you can use an external USB mouse for it.
