Thinkpad T42 Mouse and Keyboard Error after Factory Reset
Posted by: admin In: Lenovo Laptops
After reloading Windows on Lenovo ThinkPad T42 laptop, someone getting the “System Preparation Tool 2.0” appears and then the T42 system going freeze. He can’t do anything except doing hard reset. Already try to go to the safe mode but it makes the T42 keyboard and mouse won’t work. As he knows that problem comes after he’s trying to do factory reset, then he start the process to reinstalling Windows again. But after the process is complete he still seeing “SysPrep 2.0″ appears on ThinkPad T42.
To resolve the problem of still getting the “System Preparation Tool 2.0″ after reloading Windows on T42 laptop, here’s the way you can try to do:
Go to the “Options” box and make sure the following are checked:
- Don’t reset grace period for activation
- Use Mini-Setup
- Don’t regenerate security identifiers
Go to the “Shutdown mode” through the drop down menu and change this setting to “Quit”
Click the “Reseal” button
Note:
Make sure to reload the OS using Rescue and Recovery first before doing the steps above.
