If you want to install Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate into Lenovo Thinkpad x301 notebook, you may find this error message: “a required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing…”. My friend tried to update the BIOS, But He couldn’t find any DVD driver. Do you know how to fix it? It is really simple.

If you’re find this error report, you may need to change BIOS setting. Reboot your notebook and go to BIOS menu. Locate “Serial ATA Controller”. You have to change “AHCI” option to “Compatibility”.
the error message will not appear anymore.
