Fixing Hibernate Problem on Lenovo Thinkpad T500

Posted by: admin In: Lenovo Laptops

Another sleep / hibernate problem also found at the Lenovo T500s after
downgrade Windows XP. The user of T500s who’ve got this hibernate
problem said right after he’s doing downgrade Vista to XP, his laptop
then act miff. The blue screening on the ati2dvag.dll comes
frequently. And the hibernate/sleep mode created vary problems such
crashed to the computer’s system whether.

Was read from the internet that rolling back to the previous driver is
able to solve the problems then he’s rolling back the T500s video
driver to the 8.503.200 driver. But it didn’t help. Other ThinkPad
user of Lenovo T400 found the ThinkVantage System Update did not
install the latest driver correctly.

If you want to solve the similar downgrade problem on Lenovo ThinkPad
you can try to disable the ATI graphics altogether and just use the
Intel drivers. And also you also need to uninstalling, then manually
installing 7yd123ww.exe, with reboots in between might will gave you
both the new Thinkpad T400 / T500 video driver and a system shouldn’t
crash after hibernation/suspend.

I had 15 T500’s that all had this suspend/hibernation issue.
Only a blue screen was available and no ability to log-on.
I found the issue was with the finger-print software not functioning correctly.
Upgraded to the latest version for XP and since then (fingers crossed) I’ve had no further issues.
