Lenovo ThinkPad T61 with Vista install disappear it battery meter on the Vista Aero taskbar quirk. Someone who’s get this problem said, actually it doesn’t completely gone, the battery meter green fill color will disappear only if it combine with a light colored background. He’s tried disabling the transparency feature, but still has good result. It’s more noticeable if you have a lighter colored webpage or wallpaper directly behind the meter.
Actually on the new T61 you can increase desktop performance by having all windows not maximized like decide which desktop or window that is not viewing maximized. So you will see the battery icon as well as the taskbar color change.
By use of the controlling Windows Vista standard color theme you can change ThinkPad T61 theme to Windows Vista Basic then the taskbar color options will be changes also but it does not change the battery icon or color of the taskbar. To make it works you can try this way:
- Go to Control Panel
- Choose Appearance and Personalization.
There is you can change the color scheme, simply choose which the right color to show battery meter on the Vista Aero taskbar quirk
clearly. You may need to manage it under advanced and use the standard control panel if it prompts you.
