Running XP Pro SP 3 on Dell Dimension 9100 the users getting information from Intel Marix Storage Manager “Some data requests to a hard drive in a RAID 0 volume failed, but a backup may be possible. Please try to back up data immediately”.
Actually for the last year he has been using it laptop with a RAID 0 failure. Each time switch the Dell 9100 on, the RAID error is appear, but he’s always been able to carry on after hitting F1.
As he wants the RAID 0 failure go away from his 9100 Dell Dimension then he want to restore his laptop to full working order. But he
apprehensive about the one of Maxtor drives inside if anything is wrong.
If you’ve got similar problem of persistent Dimension 9100 RAID 0 failure, first of all you need to know that this is one of the
drawbacks of a Raid 0 configuration. If the one drive is fail you will lose everything. So the best thing you can do is backup your data. And then split the raid and test each drive exists on the Dell Dimension 9100 system.
