a. You have to download INTEL SATA AHCI Controller Driver here
b. Download NLITE from here
c. Slipstream intel AHCi drivers with Windows XP driver using nlite tutorial can be taken from here, You can bypass this method by installing Windows XP using Windows XP Service Pack 3.

If you found error when installing Windows XP 64it for our HP Compaq 6730b, follow this simple step to solve your problem:
- Download SP39269 Sound Driver for Microsoft Windows Vista 64 Bit here
- Run EXE files, it will run setup program.
- Go To Device Manager and you have to locate “audio”, it may in the “other devices”.
- Choose right click and update your audio drivers
- follow installation instruction and when it locate file, choose manually locate files and go to C:\SWSetup\SP39269\amd64\Vista
- Restart your 6730b notebook, you may find some popup error such as ’smax4pnp’ is not windows version model.
- Go to Start button and choose ‘Run’ -> MsConfug
- Choose startup and deselect ’smax4pnp’
the error message will not appear again. enjoy your Compaq 6730b sound audio.

Someone has reported that his notebooks, Compaq Presario V6000 wireless doesn’t work anymore. He found that eventhough the wireless switch to on, the light amber is not going to “blue”. When He checked the connections -> wireless assistance link”, there’s no response.
