Some users of Acer Aspire 4520 laptop with Windows XP installed said
that they have a hard time installing Realtek High Definition Audio
device on it. Already installing audio device driver for a few times
in 4520 but it doesn’t seem getting a good result.
Usually while installing Realtek High Definition Audio device driver
to Windows XP that running at Acer Aspire 4520 laptop, the users found
these error messages:
1. “Install Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure”, when trying to install
the Realtek HD Audio driver.
2. “Unable to find appropriate device drivers” after installing the
Realtek HD Audio driver from the Acer Aspire 4520 resource CD.
3. Can’t remove or update the Realtek HD Audio device from the device manager.
To resolve these error below are the following steps to fix the
problem of installing Realtek High Definition Audio device driver on
Acer Aspire 4520:
1. Uninstall previous installation of the Realtek HD Audio driver:
- Open control panel
- Go to Add/Remove programs and click on Realtek High Definition Audio driver
- Click remove button.
2. Open the Device Manager and look for the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver
for High Definition Audio. Once it found, disable and then remove it.
You can’t remove this device if you will not going to disable it
first.
3. Install the downloaded Realtek HD Audio driver and then restart
Acer Aspire 4520 when ask to do so.
